English Tutor – UK | Remote Opportunity

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced English Mentor to join our learning and mentoring network. The role involves supporting learners in developing strong English communication skills for academic, professional, and workplace environments. The ideal candidate should be confident in delivering engaging online sessions and providing personalized guidance to help learners achieve their communication goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver structured and interactive live online English mentoring sessions
  • Support learners in improving speaking, writing, listening, reading, grammar, vocabulary, and pronunciation
  • Develop practical activities, discussions, exercises, and learning resources
  • Provide personalized mentoring based on individual learner goals and proficiency levels
  • Help learners develop confidence in professional conversations and workplace communication
  • Prepare learners for interviews, presentations, meetings, networking, and professional interactions
  • Provide constructive feedback on spoken and written communication
  • Identify individual learning gaps and recommend suitable improvement strategies
  • Monitor learner progress and provide regular guidance throughout the learning journey
  • Use real-world examples and practical scenarios to make sessions engaging and relevant
  • Encourage active participation and meaningful discussions during sessions
  • Support learners in developing professional email writing and business communication skills
  • Maintain a positive, inclusive, and supportive online learning environment
  • Collaborate with the learning team to improve course content and learner experience
  • Keep sessions aligned with current communication practices and learner expectations

Required Qualifications

  • Strong command of written and spoken English
  • Previous experience in English teaching, mentoring, training, coaching, or communication development
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills
  • Strong understanding of English grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, and communication techniques
  • Ability to explain concepts clearly and effectively
  • Strong interpersonal and mentoring abilities
  • Comfortable delivering live sessions through online platforms
  • Ability to work with learners from different educational and professional backgrounds
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in Business English or professional communication
  • Experience preparing learners for interviews, presentations, or workplace communication
  • Experience working with adult learners, graduates, or working professionals
  • Familiarity with online learning platforms and digital teaching tools
  • Ability to develop engaging digital learning materials
  • Strong coaching and learner-motivation skills
  • CELTA, DELTA, TEFL, TESOL, or a relevant English/teaching qualification is an advantage
  • Experience working with UK-based learners or international learners is an advantage
