About Elephant Connect Education
Elephant Connect Education is a UK-based tutoring and education company supporting students through personalised learning, academic guidance and exam preparation.
Our approach goes beyond simply helping students answer questions. We focus on developing strong subject understanding, confidence and skills that support students beyond the exams they are preparing for.
We are looking for an experienced, part-time English Tutor
To teach English Language and English Literature at GCSE and A Level to students across the United Kingdom.
The role
As an English Tutor, you will:
- Conduct engaging 1-to-1 and small-group tutoring sessions, both online and in person.
- Deliver subject-specific sessions aligned with the relevant UK curriculum and exam board criteria.
- Support students with GCSE and A Level English Language and Literature.
- Help students develop a strong understanding of texts, language, literature, writing and examination skills.
- Identify individual learning needs and adapt your teaching approach accordingly.
- Provide appropriate homework, study materials and constructive feedback.
- Be punctual, well-prepared and professional for all sessions.
- Help students build confidence and become more independent learners.

Who we are looking for
- 5+ years of teaching experience required.
- Experience teaching GCSE and A Level English Language and Literature.
- Strong knowledge of the UK National Curriculum.
- Strong knowledge of the latest specifications and relevant exam board requirements.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A student-focused approach and genuine passion for teaching.
- An Enhanced DBS certificate.
- Eligibility to work in the UK.
- A relevant degree, A Level or equivalent qualification is preferred.

Job type: Part-time
Pay: £15.00–£22.00 per hour
Location: Online & in person, United Kingdom
Schedule: Flexible hours, based on an agreed schedule between the tutor and student, with weekend availability.
