Location: Bristol office based (within Origin Workspace near the Clifton Triangle - 40 Berkeley Square, Bristol BS8 1HP)
Salary: £25,000 - £26,500 plus commission.
In addition to your basic salary, you'll have the opportunity to earn monthly commission based on performance. Commission is linked to achieving a minimum of 90% of enrolment targets, converting booked learners into apprenticeship starts within the same month and maintaining quality and compliance standards.
Hours: 36.5 hours a week, Monday to Friday
Due to continued growth, we are looking for an Enrolment Support Advisor to join our Paragon Skills Bristol-based team. As an ESA, you will be responsible for supporting learners and employers through the enrolment journey, from enquiry through to apprenticeship start.
You will play a key role in converting learner bookings into apprenticeship starts while ensuring all funding, compliance and enrolment requirements are met. This role combines learner engagement, customer service and target-driven activity, with a strong focus on compliance, accuracy and delivering an excellent experience for every learner.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide a comprehensive pre-enrolment service for learners and employers, supporting them through the registration and onboarding process
- Contact prospective learners and employers to progress apprenticeship applications and convert bookings into confirmed starts
- Book learners and employers onto induction and enrolment sessions via a centralised diary
- Schedule and manage enrolment sessions to ensure a positive experience for all learners
- Work towards individual and team targets for learner starts, conversion rates and service delivery KPIs
- Guide learners and employers through the enrolment process, answering questions and resolving any concerns
- Work closely with Business Development Managers (BDMs) and Operations colleagues to ensure a smooth journey from sign-up to apprenticeship start
- Check and verify educational certificates and support Functional Skills exemption processes where applicable
- Complete thorough funding eligibility and compliance checks in line with ESFA and internal requirements
- Review and verify supporting documentation including identification, Biometric Residence Permits (BRPs), Share Codes and Right to Work evidence where required
- Maintain accurate learner records and ensure all evidence meets funding and audit requirements
- Take a patient, professional and inclusive approach when supporting learners from a range of backgrounds and with varying support needs; ensuring they understand the enrolment process, apprenticeship requirements and funding eligibility criteria
- Identify and follow up on any barriers preventing learners from progressing onto their apprenticeship programme
- Discuss English and Maths support with learners and guide them through initial assessments where required
- Support learners with additional learning needs by making appropriate referrals and signposting available support
- Ensure employers provide all required documentation, such as liability insurance, and maintain accurate records
- Manage shared inboxes and ensure all follow-up actions are completed promptly
- Maintain compliance with GDPR, ESFA funding rules and internal quality standards
- Foster positive working relationships with colleagues, learners, employers and key stakeholders

What We're Looking For
- Grade 4-9 GCSE in English and Maths (A-C or equivalent)
- Level 2 Information, Advice and Guidance qualification, or willingness to work towards it
- Experience working within apprenticeships, education, recruitment, admissions, sales support or a target-driven customer service environment
- Experience working towards individual or team targets and KPIs
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to compliance and accuracy
- Experience checking and processing documentation in line with regulatory, funding or compliance requirements
- Ability to understand and apply funding eligibility criteria and enrolment procedures
- Confidence supporting learners from a range of backgrounds, including learners who may require additional language support
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport quickly and professionally
- Comfortable using IT systems, including PDFs, Google Suite and Microsoft Office
- Ability to work in line with GDPR and data protection regulations
- Highly organised, self-motivated and able to manage a varied workload
- A positive, patient and learner-focused approach
- Strong time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines while maintaining quality standards
