Account Executive, Enterprise (New Business) — UKI
The Role
Rapid7 is seeking a curious, competitive, and target-driven Enterprise Account Executive to join our UKI Sales team in a dedicated new business hunter role. You'll own a set of dedicated named enterprise accounts, a mix of greenfield logos and existing Rapid7 customers with room to grow, and be responsible for driving all new-logo and expansion revenue across that list.
About the Team
Our Sales organization serves as a strategic partner for our customers, helping them achieve a more secure digital future by leveraging the full value of our portfolio to create relevant cybersecurity solutions. You will be supported closely by in-region Sales Development Representatives, Channel Account Managers, Solutions Engineers, Customer Success Managers, and Sales Enablement.
About the role
As an Account Executive your primary responsibility will be to drive net-new business opportunities from initial prospecting through negotiation and contract close. Specifically, your focus will be to:
- Own your named accounts from prospecting through to close, building a clear understanding of the business, mapping key stakeholders and identifying opportunities to win new business
- Pipeline new logo opportunities through multi-channel outbound (calls, email, LinkedIn, events) into accounts with no active leads, alongside SDR support.
- Run full-cycle enterprise deals — discovery, multi-stakeholder value selling, technical validation (with SE support), commercial negotiation, and close.
- Turn complex cybersecurity challenges into business conversations, showing senior stakeholders how Rapid7’s Command Platform can reduce risk, improve efficiency and deliver real business value, from tackling today’s AI-powered attacks to building stronger AI-powered defence.
- Maintain accurate pipeline, forecast, and activity data in Salesforce and Clari; use AI-assisted sales tools (e.g. call intelligence, account research) as a standard part of your workflow.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

- Proven ability to run structured account planning across a named account list, including analysis on existing customers and disciplined outbound cadence into cold accounts.
- Build strong networks and work collaboratively across Renewals, Customer Success, Channel and Cybersecurity Advisory to run a single coherent account strategy.
- A value selling approach in which you are able to translate platform capability into board-level risk and ROI language.
- Fluency with, or fast adoption of, AI-assisted sales tooling as part of day-to-day prospecting, call prep, and forecasting.
- An entrepreneurial, autonomous working style where you are comfortable making decisions independently during complex, multi-stakeholder deal cycles.
- Willingness to travel up to 25% for client meetings.
- Embody our core values to foster a culture of excellence that drives meaningful impact and collective success.
