Enterprise Account Executive – Banking & Financial Crime AI
Location: UK-based, with flexible hybrid working
Compensation: Competitive base salary + 100% bonus + equity
Reporting to: Senior Commercial Leadership
About the business
Our client is a high-growth, venture-backed artificial intelligence and financial-crime technology business.
The company has developed proprietary machine-learning technology that helps financial institutions, fintechs and large enterprises detect sophisticated fraud, money laundering and financial-crime activity. Its technology can identify risks across documents, transactions, customer behaviour and identity data, complementing existing systems rather than requiring customers to replace their current technology infrastructure.
The business has secured significant institutional investment, recently completed a major growth funding round and reached a commercially important stage of scale and profitability. It has an established customer base across financial services and is now investing in larger enterprise partnerships and international expansion.
The opportunity
This is a newly created enterprise sales position focused on bringing a new financial-crime solution to major banking clients through a strategic partnership with a leading global data and analytics business.
The partner has established relationships with tier-one banks and specialist sales teams across the financial-services market. Marketing, business development and the partner network will help create awareness and introductions. Your role will be to turn those introductions into substantial commercial opportunities and lead them through to completion.
This is not a traditional cold-prospecting role, but it is also not a passive overlay position. You will be responsible for developing the opportunity, owning discovery, understanding the customer’s underlying business problem, building the commercial case and leading the sales process through to close.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

The expected deal sizes are high six to low seven figures. Sales cycles will be complex and may involve fraud, financial crime, risk, compliance, technology, data, procurement and senior executive stakeholders.
The product is not simply a demo-led software sale. You will be selling a new approach to identifying and preventing financial crime, requiring a commercially credible, consultative and value-led sales process.
Key responsibilities
- Build strong working relationships with the partner’s specialist sales teams and account managers.
- Identify and develop opportunities within major banks and financial institutions.
- Generate momentum from partner-led introductions and convert them into qualified opportunities.
- Own the customer relationship for each specific opportunity while working alongside the partner’s broader account owner.
- Lead discovery across fraud, financial crime, risk, compliance, technology and commercial stakeholders.
- Develop tailored propositions for individual banking customers rather than relying on a repeatable product pitch.
- Build compelling business cases based on financial loss, operational efficiency, risk reduction and customer outcomes.
- Navigate complex procurement, technology, security, legal and governance processes.
- Manage long and multi-stakeholder enterprise sales cycles through to close.
- Maintain accurate forecasting and disciplined pipeline management.
- Work closely with product, marketing, partnerships, solutions and executive teams.
- Help establish the commercial playbook for the partnership in the UK.
- Support the future expansion of the partnership into international markets.
What we are looking for
- Proven experience closing complex enterprise technology, data, analytics, cybersecurity, financial-services or other high-value B2B solutions.
- Evidence of personally owning and closing high-six or seven-figure deals.
- Experience selling to banks, financial institutions or similarly complex regulated organisations.
- Strong discovery, consultative selling and business-case development skills.
- The ability to sell outcomes and commercial value rather than simply product features.
- Experience working through strategic partners, alliances or co-selling relationships.
- Confidence engaging senior stakeholders and navigating complex buying groups.
- A disciplined sales methodology and the ability to demonstrate how it has been applied in real deals.
- Strong commercial judgement and the ability to be assertive without damaging important relationships.
- A self-sufficient approach, with the confidence to create structure where there is not yet a complete playbook.
- Resilience when deals become complex, delayed or unsuccessful.
- The ability to operate with significant autonomy and maintain the trust of senior leadership.
