Enterprise Applications Specialist (HR Systems)

IT Services are delighted to offer an opportunity for an enthusiastic, engaged, and technically capable individual to join our dynamic Enterprise Applications team as an Enterprise Applications Specialist (HR Systems). This role is well suited to a forward-thinking individual with skills and experience in the support, maintenance, and development of HR and people management systems, who is seeking to progress their career in a busy and innovative workplace at one of the UK's leading universities.

It is an exciting time for the University and IT Services, with digital enhancement playing a key role in shaping the University's future. HR systems sit at the heart of the staff experience, underpinning critical processes including recruitment, onboarding, workforce management, payroll integration, performance development, and employee self-service. As part of our ongoing digital transformation programme, you will play a key role in supporting and enhancing the University's HR technology platforms, ensuring they continue to deliver an excellent service to staff across the institution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a subject matter expert for the University's HR systems.
  • Work closely with colleagues in Human Resources, Payroll, and IT Services to ensure systems remain secure, reliable, and fit for purpose.
  • Assist with testing activities for system upgrades and enhancements.
  • Assist with issue resolution and continual service improvement.
  • Contribute to the development of documentation, policies, and support processes.
  • Identify opportunities for automation and efficiency improvements, helping to streamline workflows and deliver an enhanced user experience.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Relevant IT, Business Systems, Human Resources, or related degree or postgraduate qualification (or possess extensive equivalent experience).
  • Proven practical experience in the support and administration of enterprise business systems.
  • Experience of supporting HR, payroll, workforce management, or related systems would be advantageous.
  • Understanding of the technical and business processes associated with modern HR operations.
  • Ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Location

This post will be based at Eden Campus at Guardbridge, a state-of-the-art working environment for professional services units.
