Enterprise Architect – Business Applications & Integration
Aimtech Recruitment is partnering with an international organisation to recruit an Enterprise Architect with strong experience across business applications, systems integration, and technology delivery.
You will shape how applications, data, and technology support business operations and growth. Working closely with senior stakeholders and delivery teams, you will define the target architecture and develop a practical roadmap for improving and connecting core business systems.
This role suits someone who combines strategic architectural thinking with direct experience of implementing enterprise applications and resolving complex integration challenges.
What You’ll Be Responsible For
- Define and maintain the enterprise architecture, aligning business capabilities, applications, integrations, and data with organisational priorities.
- Develop the business applications roadmap, balancing immediate operational requirements with longer-term improvements.
- Review the existing systems landscape, identifying opportunities to simplify platforms, remove duplication, and improve connectivity.
- Guide the selection, implementation, and development of ERP, CRM, and other operational business applications.
- Translate business requirements into solution designs, making recommendations on platform selection, configuration, customisation, and build-versus-buy decisions.
- Establish architectural standards across applications, APIs, integration patterns, and data flows.
- Provide architectural oversight throughout delivery, from discovery and design through migration, testing, and go-live.
- Work directly with analysts, developers, and implementation partners to resolve design issues and technical dependencies.
- Ensure solutions support effective end-to-end processes across business functions and regions.
- Identify opportunities to improve workflows through automation, AI, and better use of existing platforms.
- Evaluate supplier proposals and solution designs, challenging unnecessary complexity and assessing long-term suitability.
- Influence technology investment through clear options, practical recommendations, and well-supported business cases.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
