Enterprise Architect - £950/day via Umbrella - 6 Month Contract - Manchester / London / Birmingham - Hybrid - SCC Flex Contract
We are seeking an experienced Enterprise Architect to support the development and execution of enterprise-wide technology strategy within a complex organisation. This is an excellent opportunity for an Enterprise Architect to influence business transformation, shape target architecture, and ensure alignment between business objectives and technology investments.
Your responsibilities as the Enterprise Architect:
- Define and maintain the enterprise architecture roadmap aligned to organisational goals and strategic priorities.
- Develop target-state architectures across business, application, data, technology, and security domains.
- Provide architectural leadership for large-scale transformation and modernisation programmes.
- Work closely with senior stakeholders to ensure technology decisions support business outcomes.
- Establish and maintain architecture governance, standards, principles, and frameworks.
- Assess current-state capabilities and identify opportunities for improvement and optimisation.
- Support investment planning, technology selection, and strategic decision-making.
- Collaborate with solution architects, technical teams, and business leaders to ensure architectural alignment across initiatives.
- Drive innovation through the evaluation of emerging technologies and industry best practices.

As a successful Enterprise Architect, you will have:
- Proven experience working as an Enterprise Architect within large and complex enterprise environments.
- Strong knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks such as TOGAF, Zachman, FEAF, or equivalent.
- Experience defining enterprise-wide technology strategies, roadmaps, and operating models.
- Strong understanding of cloud technologies, digital transformation, data architecture, security, and application landscapes.
- Experience implementing architecture governance and operating within structured architecture practices.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence senior leadership teams.
- Strong business acumen and the ability to translate business strategy into technology solutions.
- Experience leading architecture workstreams across multiple concurrent programmes.
- TOGAF certification or equivalent enterprise architecture qualifications would be highly desirable.
