Enterprise Architect – 6-Month Contract

Location: Stoke-based
Working Pattern: 2–3 days onsite per week
Duration: 6 months
Day Rate: Open

We are looking for an experienced Enterprise Architect to support a major transformation programme, developing the target architecture and transition roadmap using a TOGAF-aligned approach.

The role will also support the RFP process, providing evidence-based architectural recommendations to help evaluate technology options, suppliers and the future technology ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop the target-state Enterprise Architecture and transition roadmap.
  • Support the RFP process, including technology options and supplier evaluation.
  • Review and validate existing architecture and discovery outputs.
  • Confirm application, integration, data and technology dependencies.
  • Identify architectural gaps, risks and opportunities.
  • Assess integration and migration implications.
  • Provide clear, evidence-based recommendations to senior stakeholders.
  • Participate in Architecture Review Board and existing governance processes.
  • Work closely with the Head of Digital, Architecture & Governance and internal Solution Architect.

About You

You will have:

  • Proven experience as an Enterprise Architect within complex transformation programmes.
  • Strong knowledge of TOGAF or similar architecture frameworks.
  • Experience developing target architectures and transition roadmaps.
  • Strong application, integration, data and technology architecture experience.
  • Experience supporting RFPs, supplier selection and technology evaluations.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • The ability to translate complex architecture into clear, commercially relevant recommendations.
