The Role
South East Water is seeking an experienced Enterprise Architect to establish an Enterprise Architecture function and define the technology roadmap for a complex and evolving application landscape. The successful candidate will provide architectural leadership across applications, integrations, cloud and data platforms, ensuring technology investments support business priorities while reducing risk, complexity and technical debt.
Your responsibilities
- Establish Enterprise Architecture governance, standards and review processes.
- Create and maintain the current-state application, integration and technology landscape.
- Assess application risks, dependencies, ownership, supportability and cloud suitability.
- Develop application rationalization and modernization roadmaps.
- Define target-state architectures and integration standards.
- Support cloud adoption and technology transformation initiatives.
- Provide architectural oversight across projects, vendors and strategic programmes.
- Work with business and IT stakeholders to align technology investments with business outcomes

Your Profile
Essential skills/knowledge/experience:
- Enterprise Architecture experience in a medium or large organization.
- Experience establishing architecture governance and standards.
- Strong application portfolio and technology roadmap experience.
- Experience with system integration and cloud technologies.
- Ability to work across business and technology stakeholders.
- Experience producing current-state and target-state architectures.

Desirable skills/knowledge/experience:
- Utilities, energy or regulated industry experience.
- Experience with GIS, asset management or operational technology environments.
- TOGAF certification or equivalent practical experience.
