Cititec has partnered with a leading utilities business, who are looking to bring an experienced Enterprise Architect into their technology team.
This is a strategic architecture role covering the full energy supply lifecycle, from customer acquisition and propositions through to metering, billing, payments, collections, settlements, and regulatory requirements. You'll work across technology and business teams to create a simpler, more connected technology environment that can support evolving customer needs and long-term business growth.
You'll be responsible for setting architectural direction, influencing major technology decisions, and creating practical roadmaps that take the organization from its current landscape towards a more scalable and sustainable future.

- Define the target architecture and technology roadmap for Energy Supply.
- Shape technology strategy across customer, commercial, operational, finance, and data platforms.
- Influence platform selection, investment, and technology reuse decisions.
- Identify opportunities to simplify, consolidate, and modernize the technology estate.
- Translate business requirements into practical, scalable architecture solutions.
- Work closely with Product, Engineering, Commercial, Finance, Operations, and Data teams.
- Provide architectural governance and challenge across major programs and technology initiatives.
- Ensure solutions consider security, resilience, compliance, cost, and long-term sustainability.
- Influence senior stakeholders and communicate complex architectural decisions clearly.
Requirements:
- Strong experience as a Domain, Solution, Lead, or Enterprise Architect.
- Proven experience designing architecture across complex, enterprise-scale environments.
- Experience within Energy, Utilities, or another regulated, high-volume industry.
- Good understanding of energy supply processes such as metering, billing, payments, contracts, or settlements.
- Experience developing target architectures and technology transformation roadmaps.
- Track record of technology rationalisation, platform strategy, and architectural governance.
- Strong commercial and strategic thinking, including an understanding of technology investment and total cost of ownership.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence senior technical and business leaders.
- Strong understanding of security, resilience, and regulatory requirements.
- Comfortable using AI tools responsibly to support analysis and productivity.
