Role: Enterprise Architect - Digital Engineering

Contract Length: 6 Months (Possible Extension)
Location: Reading - Hybrid
Day Rate: £625 - £635

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and maintain enterprise architecture for Virtual Environment Digital Engineering.
  • Develop High-Level and Low-Level Designs (HLD/LLD).
  • Produce and manage RFIs and RFQs.
  • Drive architecture governance, security, compliance, and best practice.
  • Collaborate with Product Owners, Delivery Managers, Engineers, and suppliers.
  • Support innovation, technology selection, and architecture reuse across programmes.

Requirements

  • Active SC Clearance (DV desirable).
  • 5+ years' Enterprise Architecture experience.
  • Strong Defence, MOD, Defence Digital, or Aerospace background.
  • Experience with Digital Engineering, Digital Twins, and Digital Thread concepts.
  • Knowledge of TOGAF, ArchiMate, Azure, AWS, or equivalent architecture frameworks.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and governance experience.
  • Experience working across the systems engineering lifecycle.

Desirable

  • Experience with Synthetic Environments or Flight Simulation.
  • Azure certifications.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD, DevSecOps, Docker, or Kubernetes.
  • Experience with Defence Prime Contractors and system integrators.
