Enterprise Architect
Contract: Initial 6 Months
Day Rate: Circa £900 Inside IR35
Location: Hybrid (Reading as required)
Start Date: ASAP
Security Clearance: Active SC clearance
We're looking for an experienced Enterprise Architect to join a major Defence & Aerospace programme. This role will support enterprise-wide architecture planning and governance, ensuring technology decisions align with business objectives and long-term IT strategy.
Working across multiple technology domains, you'll help shape future-state architecture, drive cloud and AI initiatives, and contribute to large-scale digital transformation programmes.

- Contribute to enterprise and solution architecture aligned with IT strategy.
- Define system integration approaches and support enterprise data modelling initiatives.
- Help develop enterprise technology roadmaps and next-generation platform strategies.
- Support cloud adoption, AI, and Generative AI initiatives.
- Establish architecture standards, governance processes, and technology selection principles.
- Define non-functional requirements, including security, scalability, resilience, and availability.
- Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to deliver future-state architecture across multiple programmes.
Skills & Experience

- Experience in Enterprise Architecture.
- Experience delivering large-scale transformation or system implementation programmes.
- Experience across application, data, and infrastructure architecture.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Experience with TOGAF architecture principles and governance.
- The ability to engage with both business and technical stakeholders and influence architectural decisions.
- Experience with Enterprise Architecture frameworks, cloud migration, AI strategy, enterprise data platforms, or IT strategy is highly desirable. TOGAF, Microsoft Azure Architect, or PMP certifications would also be advantageous.
