Contract Enterprise Architect (Digital Engineering)
Reading HQ – 2-3 days a week onsite
Security clearance (SC) essential with DV clearance ideal
Up to £90 p/h Inside IR35
Due to the classification of the project, the successful candidate MUST be security cleared (SC/DV ideal) willing and able to be based onsite at least 50% of the week
A leading Defence client based in Reading are looking for an experienced Security Cleared (SC minimum but DV clearance would be desirable) Enterprise Architect to join a specialist Digital Engineering environment supporting highly sensitive MOD and aerospace programmes.
This is a key architecture role focused on the integration of Synthetic Environments, ITEA (Integration, Test, Evaluation & Acceptance) and Technology/Live Systems within a wider Digital Engineering ecosystem.

We are particularly interested in architects who can demonstrate experience across:
- Current experience working within Enterprise / Business / Solution Architecture.
- Azure cloud
- Architecture within MOD, Defence, Aerospace or other security-critical environments.
- Digital Engineering concepts including Digital Thread and Digital Twin.
- Virtual Environments / Synthetic Environments.
- Architecture across the full systems engineering lifecycle.
- Agile delivery environments.
- Secure by Design, security governance and compliance.
- Working with Defence Primes, MOD organisations and/or specialist suppliers.
- Stakeholder management across Product Owners, Delivery Managers, Engineers, IT teams and end users.
- Experience working with suppliers and technology vendors.
- Real-time, time-domain simulation within a Digital Twin environment.
