Job Title: Lead Enterprise Architect

Location:

Role:

We're supporting a global organisation on an ambitious digital transformation journey, and we're looking for an experienced Lead Enterprise Architect to shape the future of its enterprise technology landscape. This is a rare opportunity to influence technology strategy at the highest level, working at the intersection of business and technology to deliver lasting organisational change. You'll lead the enterprise architecture function, establish governance, drive strategic technology decisions and help build a scalable, future-ready architecture that enables long-term business success across a complex global environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Define and maintain enterprise architecture principles, standards and governance frameworks.
  • Translate business strategy into enterprise architecture roadmaps and technology direction.
  • Lead Architecture Review Boards and enterprise architecture governance forums.
  • Drive strategic technology decisions by balancing business value, cost, risk and delivery priorities.
  • Ensure alignment across application, data, integration, cloud, platform and security architecture.
  • Engage with programmes, procurement and strategic initiatives to influence technology decisions from inception.
  • Identify, manage and reduce technical debt while overseeing architecture risk and technology lifecycle planning.
  • Support investment decisions and portfolio planning through effective architecture governance.
  • Coach, mentor and develop architecture teams while maturing enterprise architecture capabilities.
  • Champion reusable architecture patterns, standards and best practices across the organisation.
  • Collaborate with senior business and technology stakeholders to improve decision-making and drive enterprise-wide alignment.

Required Skills:

  • Extensive experience in Enterprise Architecture or senior architecture leadership positions.
  • Proven experience leading enterprise-wide architecture governance within large, complex organisations.
  • Strong knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks, governance models and target architecture development.
  • Broad technical expertise across Enterprise Applications, Data Architecture, Integration, Cloud Platforms, Security and Enterprise Platforms.
  • Experience translating business strategy into practical architecture roadmaps and deliverables.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to executive and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience leading Architecture Review Boards or equivalent governance forums.
  • Strong leadership, mentoring and influencing skills across cross-functional teams.
  • Comfortable working across business, technology, procurement and delivery functions.
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to balance long-term vision with practical delivery.
