About the Role

We at Coforge are hiring an Enterprise Architect to provide technology and architecture leadership across a Commercial & Specialty Insurance environment. This role will drive enterprise-wide architecture strategy, cloud transformation, integration, governance, and modernisation initiatives while partnering with senior business and technology stakeholders.

We are seeking an experienced Enterprise Architect to provide technology and architecture leadership across our Commercial & Specialty Insurance landscape. You will work with senior business and technology stakeholders to translate business strategy into secure, scalable, and practical technology solutions. The role covers enterprise architecture, solution and application architecture, cloud, integration, data, security, technology strategy, and transformation.

Experience in Commercial & Specialty Insurance, Reinsurance, or the Lloyd's/London Market is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and maintain enterprise, application, integration, data, and technology architecture.
  • Develop architecture principles, standards, patterns, reference architectures, and technology roadmaps.
  • Define current-state, target-state, and transition architectures.
  • Provide architecture leadership for major transformation, migration, and modernisation programmes.
  • Work with business stakeholders and Product Owners to translate business capabilities and requirements into technology solutions.
  • Support insurance platforms and processes covering Underwriting, Policy Administration, Policy Servicing, Claims, Reinsurance, Delegated Authority, and Bordereaux/BDX.
  • Design and govern cloud and hybrid architectures, preferably using Microsoft Azure.
  • Define integration architectures across SaaS, legacy, and cloud platforms using APIs, messaging, and secure file-based integration.
  • Ensure solutions address security, identity, resilience, disaster recovery, data protection, and operational requirements.
  • Lead architecture reviews, maintain Architecture Decision Records (ADRs), and support Architecture Review Boards.
  • Assess technology products, vendors, SaaS solutions, and build-versus-buy options.
  • Identify technology risks, technical debt, end-of-life platforms, and opportunities to simplify the technology estate.
  • Develop technology roadmaps aligned with business priorities and investment plans.
  • Influence senior stakeholders and delivery teams and provide clear, pragmatic architectural decisions.

Essential Experience

  • Significant experience as an Enterprise Architect, Solution Architect, or equivalent.
  • Strong experience across enterprise, application, integration, cloud, and technology architecture.
  • Proven experience delivering complex technology transformation and modernisation programmes.
  • Strong Microsoft Azure and cloud architecture expertise.
  • Experience with SaaS, legacy systems, and enterprise integration.
  • Experience with architecture governance and senior stakeholder management.
  • Strong understanding of security, identity, infrastructure, and data architecture.
  • Excellent communication, influencing, and problem-solving skills.

Desirable

  • Commercial & Specialty Insurance / Reinsurance.
  • Lloyd's / London Market experience.
  • Underwriting and Policy Administration platforms.
  • Delegated Authority, Binder, and BDX solutions.
  • Exposure Management and insurance data platforms.
  • Legacy modernisation and cloud migration.

Qualifications & Certifications

Essential:

  • Degree or equivalent professional experience in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or a related discipline.

Preferred:

  • TOGAF Enterprise Architecture
  • Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect Expert
  • ArchiMate, SABSA, ITIL, CISSP, or CISM
