Overview

TRC is looking for an experienced Enterprise Architect to join our Intelligent Grid Solutions team within the EMEA Architecture function to support our Energy Control System, Grid Edge and Energy Markets practices. The role is accountable for shaping end-to-end architectures with customers, defining roadmaps and solution designs that enable DSO/TSO objectives while remaining implementable and commercially viable. The Enterprise Architect leads architecture engagements with energy distribution and transmission clients, focusing on EMS, ADMS, OMS, AMI, Market Platforms, DER integration and related enterprise platforms.

Responsibilities

Enterprise & Solution Architecture Ownership

  • Own the definition of end-to-end architectures for assigned client engagements, covering application, data, integration and technology domains.
  • Develop current-state and target-state architectures for utility clients, aligned to regulatory drivers, business priorities and digital strategies such as DSO transition, flexibility and DER integration.
  • Produce conceptual and high-level solution designs for programmes involving EMS, ADMS, OMS, AMI, Market Platforms, DERMS, CRM, ERP and integration layers, ensuring traceability to requirements and roadmaps.
  • Lead architectural impact assessments for change initiatives, identifying dependencies, risks and options and making clear recommendations to client stakeholders.

Integration & Data Architecture

  • Define integration approaches for OT/IT landscapes spanning SCADA/ADMS, GIS, AMI, market platforms, analytics and enterprise systems.
  • Apply utility integration and data standards including IEC-60870-5-104, ICCP, CIM/IEC 61968/61970/62325, REST APIs and message-based integration to deliver interoperable, future-proof solutions.
  • Drive alignment of network and asset models such as CIM, GIS and ADMS with enterprise data models, governance policies and analytics needs.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
