An Enterprise Architect contract opportunity with a global leader in digital experience and customer engagement technology, UK based, delivery-focused. This is a genuinely senior, business-facing Enterprise Architect role, not a solution architecture position, and the client has been explicit that seniority matters more than any single tool or platform.
You'll join post-sold transformation programmes, working alongside technical consultants who handle the detailed platform implementation, while you hold the holistic, business-to-technical view across the project. You'll be comfortable at COO level one moment and grounding that conversation in real technical substance the next.
This is a true Enterprise Architect remit: connecting business outcomes to technical delivery, not just knowing a solution inside out.

What you'll be doing as Enterprise Architect:
- Leading post-sold transformation engagements from a holistic, business-to-technical perspective
- Acting as the connecting layer between business stakeholders and technical delivery teams
- Providing architectural oversight and direction across projects already won and in delivery
- Building trust and credibility with senior client stakeholders, including COO-level sponsors
- Guiding technical consultants without needing to own every implementation detail yourself
- Occasionally supporting pre-sales scoping on a different project, though this is a small part of the remit
What we're looking for from the Enterprise Architect:
- Genuine enterprise architecture experience, not solution or platform architecture rebadged
- Proven ability to operate credibly at senior stakeholder level, including C-suite
- Strong technical grounding, even though this is not a hands-on build role
- Some exposure to major digital experience or marketing technology platforms is a plus, not a requirement
- Comfortable joining projects already sold and moving straight into delivery
- TOGAF-aligned thinking and lifecycle-based architecture governance

Qualifications:
- Significant experience operating at enterprise architecture level, not solution architecture
- TOGAF certified or equivalent applied experience
