Envitia

Envitia is a UK-based software and services company that helps organisations unlock the full value of their data to make better, faster decisions. With over 30 years of experience, we specialise in delivering innovative software products, solutions, and consultancy services that transform complex data challenges into actionable insights.

Our mission is to empower customers across defence, government, and national security sectors to harness the power of data — from geospatial intelligence to advanced analytics and AI integration. We are proud to be a trusted partner to UK defence and government organisations, delivering technology that drives smarter, data-driven outcomes.

We’re also delighted to have been named one of The Sunday Times Top 100 Medium-Sized Companies — a recognition of our commitment to innovation, collaboration, and creating an outstanding workplace where people can thrive.

The Role

As an Enterprise Architect at Envitia, you’ll take a leading role in shaping and delivering high-impact consulting engagements across Central Government and Defence clients. Acting as a trusted advisor, you’ll work closely with senior stakeholders to understand complex organisational challenges and define enterprise-level business and technology architectures that enable meaningful transformation.

You’ll bring a strong consulting mindset, combining strategic thinking with commercial awareness to develop clear visions, roadmaps, and target-state architectures aligned to client priorities. Your focus will be on delivering tangible business value—ensuring that technology decisions drive measurable outcomes and long-term success for our customers.

In this role, you won’t just design architectures, you’ll lead change. You’ll drive the adoption of new business and technical capabilities, working across stakeholders to embed solutions effectively and ensure they deliver real-world impact. From early-stage advisory and strategy through to delivery and transition, you’ll take ownership of the full client lifecycle, providing leadership and direction at every stage.

This is an opportunity to operate at the intersection of strategy, technology, and client engagement, playing a key role in growing Envitia’s consulting capability while helping customers solve complex, mission-critical challenges.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the definition and delivery of enterprise architecture strategies, aligning business outcomes with technology direction across complex client environments.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, shaping business architecture frameworks and solutions to address strategic and operational challenges.
  • Establish and embed effective enterprise architecture governance, ensuring alignment with client standards, regulatory requirements, and best practice.
  • Develop and maintain long-term technology roadmaps that support client transformation goals and evolving organisational priorities.
  • Apply Target Operating Model (TOM) expertise to design scalable, efficient operating structures that enable sustainable change.
  • Collaborate with client stakeholders and multidisciplinary teams to design and deliver innovative solutions that drive measurable business value.
  • Provide leadership across transformation programmes, ensuring architectural principles are integrated seamlessly into delivery and adoption.
  • Champion thought leadership in enterprise, business, and technical architecture, supporting the growth of both client capability and Envitia’s consulting offering.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
