About ITSA
Industry Technology Strategy & Architecture leads at the intersection of business and technology, driving maximum client value through the exploitation of AI, technology and data. We serve as the primary architect of our clients' industry-relevant technology estate, defining future-state visions, building the business case for change, and designing the enterprise architecture that turns ambition into an executable roadmap.
Our work spans four solution areas: Business Technology Strategy, Technology Visioning / Future Tech & Innovation, Enterprise & Technology AI & Data Strategy, and Industry Enterprise Architecture. Across all of them we deliver measurable outcomes: full traceability between business priorities and technology investment, stronger investment alignment and prioritization, reduced architectural complexity and duplication, and faster identification of AI, data and digital opportunities.
Your responsibilities
- Support the delivery of enterprise architecture engagements that modernise the client technology estate for the intelligence era.
- Assess how business strategy and industry trends drive the need for change in the enterprise architecture across organisation, applications, data, infrastructure and operations.
- Co-create the client's enterprise architecture vision, strategy and roadmap, aligned to business objectives.
- Develop recommendations and translate them into actionable transformation plans for complex, large-scale technology environments, applying Lean and Agile enterprise principles.
- Support the development of value cases and investment justifications that guide architecture and technology decisions.
- Work across business, technology and third-party stakeholders to formulate, communicate and conclude key architectural decisions.
- Provide architecture governance through the transformation programme, keeping new initiatives aligned to agreed guidelines without jeopardising business objectives.
- Support the creation of enterprise architecture blueprints setting out the end-to-end landscape across applications, integrations and data.
- Support the design and governance of enterprise data and AI platform capabilities, and the definition of operating models and implementation roadmaps.
- Conduct vendor and platform assessments and enterprise architecture maturity assessments on behalf of clients.
- Use AI tools to accelerate research, synthesis and analysis, validating their outputs with logic, evidence and domain knowledge.
- Work autonomously on defined workstreams, managing priorities, progress, risks and capacity, and coordinate and support junior colleagues to deliver to agreed time, budget and quality expectations.
- Produce consistently high-quality, well-structured documents, presentations, architecture outputs and other deliverables that communicate clear insights and recommendations and are ready to be presented to C-suite and executive-level audiences.
- Contribute to the growth and effective operation of the Accenture practice and ITSA by supporting and, where appropriate, driving knowledge sharing, training and community activities, recruitment, reusable assets and thought leadership, while meeting internal business obligations.
- Build trusted relationships with immediate client stakeholders, contribute confidently in meetings, workshops and presentations, and begin to understand and own their issues and success measures.
- Support business development by recognising client issues beyond the immediate scope, helping shape proposals and work orders, and matching client needs to relevant Accenture offerings.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
