G MASS Consulting Enterprise Business Architect Opportunity
G MASS Consulting is supporting a growing UK specialist bank in the search for an Enterprise Business Architect. This is a new position, created to give the bank a single, joined-up view of how it should organise itself for the next stage of its growth. Reporting into senior leadership, the Enterprise Business Architect will take a bank-wide view of how the business is organised, identifying where shared capabilities can be introduced across the lending divisions and where divisional approaches should remain.
Responsibilities:
- Partner with senior leaders to turn strategic goals into a defined set of business capabilities and priorities.
- Create and own the bank’s capability map, advising on what should be centralised and what should remain within the divisions.
- Hold the single transformation roadmap for the bank, ordering initiatives according to value, risk and interdependencies.
- Offer an impartial, bank-wide perspective that helps leadership decide which investments go ahead and when.
- Work hand in hand with the Technology Architecture function so the future technology landscape supports the future shape of the business.
- Set clear context and boundaries for Business Analysis teams, and check that live programmes stay on course with the roadmap.
- Build consensus among divisional heads around a shared operating model, leading through influence rather than instruction.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
