About the Role
You want a market you can really get hold of. One where you can open doors, build momentum, and have a clear say in how the territory develops rather than getting slowed down by layers of internal process.
As a Business Development Manager, you’ll focus on winning enterprise customers across the construction technology market, using your sector knowledge to build strong commercial conversations and turn opportunities into revenue. You’ll own the sales process, work with senior stakeholders, and be expected to keep pace against a £1m annual target.
This will suit someone dynamic, competitive, and comfortable creating their own opportunities. If you enjoy hunting, want greater ownership of your market, and like being measured on clear commercial outcomes, there’s plenty of room to make an impact here.
Who’s it for and what’s in it for you?
Our client is modernising one of the world's biggest and most complex industries, using tech to make construction sites safer, more productive, and easier to manage. Bringing together everything from onboarding to site access to safety checks, they're replacing clunky processes with software that gives teams a much clearer picture of what's actually happening on site.
If you're someone who loves a challenge and wants to bring their best, most authentic self to work every day, then this could be the place for you. Small enough to know everyone's name but large enough to really push boundaries, it’s a supportive work environment that's designed to help people thrive in their careers. You'll also receive a benefits package that includes things like:

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
