Enterprise Data Architect

Global Professional Services Firm
Location: London
Working: Hybrid
Salary: Up to £125,000 + benefits

The Role

An exciting opportunity to join a global organisation undergoing a significant transformation across Data, AI, and enterprise architecture.

You'll take ownership of the enterprise data architecture strategy, leading the design of a modern Azure-based data platform while shaping how data products, governance, and AI capabilities are embedded across the business.

This is a leadership role with line management responsibility for two Data Architects, working closely with Architecture, Engineering, Data, and AI teams to deliver a scalable, governed data ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and own the enterprise data architecture strategy and roadmap
  • Lead the design of modern Azure lakehouse and data platform architectures
  • Shape and embed enterprise data governance, modelling, and architecture standards
  • Drive the adoption of a data product operating model across the organisation
  • Partner with Data, AI, Engineering, and Enterprise Architecture teams on strategic initiatives
  • Provide architecture governance and technical leadership across data and AI programmes
  • Lead and mentor a team of Data Architects
  • Ensure enterprise data platforms are scalable, secure, and AI-ready

Key Requirements

  • Extensive experience as an Enterprise Data Architect within large, complex organisations
  • Previous line management or leadership experience
  • Strong Azure data platform expertise, including Azure Databricks
  • Experience designing modern lakehouse and enterprise data architectures
  • Strong understanding of data governance, metadata, MDM, and enterprise data modelling
  • Experience supporting AI/ML initiatives and modern AI data platforms
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Experience working within enterprise architecture frameworks and collaborating across multiple architecture disciplines
