Cabot Credit Management
Cabot Credit Management is seeking an experienced Enterprise Data Architect to lead the development and evolution of our enterprise-wide data architecture, ensuring that data remains a strategic asset that enables business growth, innovation and informed decision-making.
This role will provide architectural leadership across data platforms, analytics, AI, governance and information management, shaping how data is structured, governed, secured and utilised across the organisation. Working closely with Data, IT, Cloud, Information Security and Business Architecture teams, you will define the long-term data vision, drive key enterprise initiatives and provide oversight of the data estate to ensure it is aligned with business objectives, operationally effective and fit for the future.

Key responsibilities include:
- Define and evolve Cabot's enterprise data architecture, establishing the standards, principles and roadmap that support business strategy, regulatory requirements and future growth.
- Provide architectural leadership across data platforms, cloud technologies, analytics, AI and governance, ensuring solutions are secure, scalable and cost-effective.
- Act as the design authority for significant data initiatives, offering guidance, governance and assurance across programmes, projects and platform changes.
- Lead and coordinate Cabot's Data Forum, providing enterprise-wide oversight of data architecture priorities, risks, dependencies and strategic decisions.
- Collaborate with Data, IT, Cloud, Information Security and Business Architecture teams to ensure alignment between business objectives, technology capabilities and data strategy.
- Drive the modernisation of the data estate, including cloud adoption, platform optimisation, data migration initiatives and the rationalisation of legacy environments.
- Establish and promote best practice in data governance, metadata management, data quality, privacy, retention and stewardship.
- Define architecture patterns that enable advanced analytics, AI and data-driven decision making, ensuring the organisation can maximise the value of its data assets.
- Embed cost transparency and optimisation principles into architecture decisions, balancing innovation, resilience, performance and value for money.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and provide strategic recommendations that support Cabot's long-term data and digital transformation ambitions.

We are looking for someone with:
Essential
- Proven experience in Enterprise Data Architecture, Data Platform Architecture or a similar senior technology leadership role.
- Strong expertise in modern data platforms and cloud technologies, particularly Microsoft Azure and Databricks.
- Experience designing and governing enterprise-scale data, analytics and information architectures across complex environments.
- Sound understanding of data governance, security, privacy, data quality and regulatory requirements.
- Experience leading data modernisation, migration and transformation initiatives, including cloud adoption and legacy platform rationalisation.
- Strong knowledge of data integration, modelling, metadata management and enterprise data architecture best practices.
- Ability to develop strategic roadmaps and translate long-term architectural vision into practical delivery plans.
- Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience collaborating across Architecture, Data, IT, Cloud and Information Security functions to deliver business outcomes.

Desirable
- Experience within financial services or another highly regulated industry.
- Knowledge of AI, machine learning and GenAI architectures and their data requirements.
- Understanding of FinOps principles, cloud cost optimisation and technology investment decision-making.
- Experience supporting enterprise architecture governance, data forums or data governance initiatives.
- Familiarity with data products, data mesh or federated data operating models.
- Relevant certifications such as TOGAF, Microsoft Azure, Databricks or DAMA-DMBOK.
