Role Summary

We are seeking a Senior Enterprise Data Engineer to lead the development of enterprise-scale data integration and data product capabilities across the organisation. This role will help advance the firm's data strategy by delivering trusted, reusable data assets and modern integration services that enable business agility, operational efficiency, and data-driven decision making.

The role is responsible for designing and implementing resilient ingestion, orchestration, and provisioning solutions using service-based and event-driven architectures. Working closely with data, platform, application, operations, and business teams, the successful candidate will establish engineering patterns and integration capabilities that support critical business systems, regulatory reporting, analytics, machine learning, and AI-driven solutions.

This is a hands-on engineering role requiring strong technical leadership, a passion for automation and operational excellence, and the ability to deliver scalable solutions that meet the needs of a fast-growing global financial services organisation.

Responsibilities

Role specific:

  • Design, build, and maintain strategic enterprise data products that provide trusted, governed, and low-friction access to data across the organisation.
  • Design and implement resilient data ingestion, orchestration, and provisioning solutions to support operational, regulatory, analytical, machine learning, and AI-driven use cases.
  • Deliver service-based and event-driven integration capabilities using APIs, API Gateways, event streaming, webhooks, and other enterprise integration patterns.
  • Develop scalable source-provider onboarding solutions, ensuring data is traceable, validated, and aligned with agreed publication contracts and data standards.
  • Build and maintain high-performance data pipelines capable of processing large-scale, distributed workloads while meeting operational and regulatory requirements.
  • Implement data quality controls, monitoring, observability, and operational metrics to improve the reliability and resilience of enterprise data products.
  • Define and implement automated testing practices for data and integration solutions, including unit, integration, and end-to-end testing.
  • Apply software engineering and SDLC best practices, including source control, code review, CI/CD, release management, and infrastructure-as-code principles.
  • Establish and promote engineering standards, reusable integration patterns, and reference implementations to improve consistency, scalability, and delivery velocity.
  • Partner with data, architecture, governance, platform, operations, application, and business teams to deliver strategic data capabilities, provide technical leadership, and ensure alignment with enterprise standards and objectives.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
