About The Role
Group IT is a newly forming department following the creation of the Quanta Group and changes to the way services are provided to subsidiary companies. Group IT will provide Corporate IT services across all group companies and manage the IT service provision from third-party providers.
This role will own the development of the Group’s data platforms — including data lake, data warehouse, and analytics tooling — with a strong emphasis on Microsoft Fabric and modern cloud-based data engineering practices. It will ensure data integrity, quality, lineage, and accessibility, enabling the business to derive meaningful insight and value from its data assets.
This is both a strategic and hands-on role: the Enterprise Data Manager will shape the roadmap, define the architecture, and also lead the technical build of the Group’s data warehouse and associated data pipelines. Working closely with technology, operations, and business stakeholders, the role will embed strong data governance, drive adoption of data standards, and support the development of a data-driven culture.
Key Responsibilities
Enterprise Data Strategy & Roadmap
- Define the enterprise data strategy and multi-year roadmap aligned to Group objectives.
- Establish the vision for data platforms, governance, architecture, and analytics capabilities.
- Ensure data initiatives support regulatory, operational, and commercial priorities.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
