Imperial Brands are recruiting for an experienced Enterprise Data Platform Lead to define and drive the strategy, performance and continuous evolution of our Enterprise Data Platform (EDP). This is a key leadership role responsible for ensuring our platform is secure, reliable, scalable and ready to support the growing needs of analytics, data products and AI initiatives across the business.
Working with technology, data and business stakeholders globally, you'll adopt a platform-as-a-product mindset, balancing innovation, operational excellence and governance to deliver a platform that enables data-driven decision making at scale.

You'll play a critical role in ensuring our data platform remains resilient, scalable and ready to support the next generation of data and AI innovation.

Please note: This role is based at our Bristol HQ, where we work on a 50% hybrid working model.
Principle Accountabilities
- Define and deliver the Enterprise Data Platform strategy and roadmap, ensuring platform capabilities align with business priorities and future growth objectives.
- Lead the development and evolution of platform services, ensuring they are secure, scalable, reliable and easy for teams to consume.
- Drive operational excellence, overseeing platform performance, availability, incident management, service quality and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Establish and enforce platform governance, standards and guardrails, ensuring compliance with architectural, security and service management requirements.
- Partner with cross-functional stakeholders, vendors and delivery teams to support platform adoption, modernisation and long-term sustainability.
- Own platform investment and optimisation decisions, balancing innovation, cost, risk and technical debt to maximise business value and platform resilience.

Skills and Experience Required
- Significant experience in platform strategy, platform engineering, technology services, data platforms or related technology leadership roles.
- Proven experience defining roadmaps, standards, governance models and service improvements within a complex enterprise environment.
- Strong understanding of platform architecture, security, operational resilience, service management and technology delivery.
- Experience working collaboratively across Product, Engineering, Architecture, Security, Data and business functions to deliver successful outcomes.
- Ability to balance innovation, risk, cost, reliability and business priorities while influencing stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills, with experience working in matrix and partner-led environments.
