Enterprise Services
Enterprise Services comprises multiple business platforms including Client Services, Global Business Operations, Business Architecture, Data Strategy and Analytics, and Digital Services, which report into the Chief of Enterprise Services. These grouped platforms enable the business to optimize delivery for clients, generate efficiencies and resilience, and enable consistency in the business digitization strategy, processes, and end-to-end best practices.

The Impact you will have in this role
The Director will set, drive, and deliver the Enterprise Services risk environment strategy, establishing a clear vision and integrated governance approach that strengthens risk ownership, control effectiveness, transparency, and accountability across the organization. The role will provide strategic leadership across risk governance, risk and control frameworks, risk assessment and reporting, issue management, and the ongoing evaluation of the health of the risk environment. The Director will partner with the Audit Governance Director to align risk and audit priorities and executive management reporting requirements, providing a holistic view of the overall health of the Enterprise Services organization. The Director will also advise senior leadership on risk exposure and emerging themes and collaborate across Enterprise Services and the broader organization to deliver sustainable improvements aligned with corporate and regulatory expectations.
Your Primary Responsibilities
- Lead, structure, and develop a high-performing team, establishing clear roles, responsibilities, and accountability while aligning capacity and capabilities to ensure effective delivery of strategic priorities and initiatives.
- Set the vision, strategic priorities, and multi-year roadmap for the health of the Enterprise Services risk environment, translating enterprise risk objectives into measurable outcomes, governance routines, and sustainable business practices.
- Lead the Enterprise Services risk governance framework, ensuring clear risk ownership, effective challenge, consistent application of standards, timely escalation, and alignment with corporate risk appetite, policies, and regulatory expectations.
- Establish the approach for assessing and monitoring the health of the risk and control environment, using risk assessments, incidents, issues, control performance, key indicators, audit outcomes, and emerging themes to identify priorities and drive action.
- Provide strategic risk advice and credible challenge to Enterprise Services senior leadership, enabling informed decisions on risk acceptance, investment priorities, remediation, and transformation initiatives.
- Chair or lead risk governance forums and deliver concise executive reporting that provides an integrated view of risk exposure, control effectiveness, issue remediation, emerging risks, and progress against the risk environment strategy.
- Drive cross-functional execution of risk priorities, partnering with business leaders and Risk, Compliance, Internal Audit, Regulatory Relations, Resiliency, and other control functions to resolve systemic themes and strengthen end-to-end accountability.
- Partner with the Audit Governance Director to align risk and audit priorities, support audit and remediation activities as required, and contribute to an integrated view of the overall health of the Enterprise Services organization.
- Direct governance of material risk issues and control weaknesses, challenging root causes and remediation plans, monitoring residual exposure, and holding accountable owners to agreed outcomes.
- Build risk capability and culture across Enterprise Services by clarifying expectations, strengthening management ownership, promoting effective challenge, and using data, automation, and continuous improvement to enhance governance and decision-making.

Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in operational risk, audit, controls, or governance. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience preferred; relevant certification is beneficial.
- Proven ability to deliver risk strategy, lead governance frameworks, advise senior management, and drive measurable cross-functional change.
- Proven track record of building, leading, and developing high-performing teams, with clear accountability and a strong focus on collaboration, capability, and delivery.
- Strong knowledge of risk and control assessment, risk appetite, issue management, reporting, regulatory engagement, and sustainable remediation.

- Strategic risk leadership, with the ability to define a compelling vision, translate it into an executable roadmap, and sustain leadership commitment to the health of the risk environment.
- Deep risk governance expertise and sound judgment, including the ability to assess complex exposures, connect themes across multiple risk domains, and determine proportionate actions and escalation.
- Executive presence and influence, with the ability to provide credible challenge, navigate differing perspectives, and communicate complex risk, control, and audit matters clearly to senior leadership and governance bodies.
- Strong delivery orientation, with demonstrated success leading enterprise-wide initiatives, managing competing priorities, and converting strategy and insight into measurable improvements.
- Advanced analytical capability, including the use of metrics, trends, risk indicators, control performance, and assurance results to evaluate risk environment health and support forward-looking decisions.
- Collaborative leadership and talent development, with the ability to build trusted partnerships, create clarity of accountability, strengthen risk capability, and lead effectively through change.
- High integrity, resilience, and attention to quality, with a commitment to balanced, evidence-based decisions and transparent communication.
- Digital and AI mindset, with the ability to leverage automation, technology, and data-driven solutions to improve risk sensing, governance, reporting, and operational effectiveness.
