Location: Hybrid, 2-3 days per week onsite in London
Rate: £650-£690 per day inside IR35
Clearance: BPSS Required

We're seeking an experienced Enterprise Information / Data Architect to help shape and deliver the enterprise data strategy for a major transformation programme. This is a senior, enterprise-level architecture role focused on defining target-state data architecture, governance, information models, and data capabilities across a complex organisation.
You'll work closely with business, technology, and architecture teams to ensure data is structured, governed, and leveraged effectively to support decision-making, regulatory requirements, and digital transformation initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and maintain current and target-state enterprise data architectures.
- Develop conceptual, logical, and physical data models.
- Establish enterprise data domains, canonical models, ontologies, semantic layers, and metadata frameworks.
- Create data architecture roadmaps aligned to business and digital strategy.
- Drive data governance, lineage, quality, observability, and master data management initiatives.
- Ensure alignment between enterprise data models and solution architectures.
- Partner with business and technology stakeholders to define requirements and data strategies.
- Contribute to Architecture and Design Authority governance activities.
- Act as a thought leader, mentoring architects, analysts, and data teams.

Essential Skills & Experience
- Strong enterprise-level Information or Data Architecture experience.
- Expertise in data strategy, governance, metadata management, ontologies, knowledge graphs, and semantic modelling.
- Experience designing end-to-end data architectures across complex organisations.
- Strong Azure data platform experience, including Databricks.
- Experience delivering large-scale transformation programmes.
- Ability to influence and challenge senior stakeholders, including C-suite executives.
- Experience within complex, asset-heavy, property, real estate, or similar environments.
- Finance transformation experience.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Desirable Skills
- TOGAF, DAMA-DMBOK, or similar architecture frameworks.
- Experience supporting AI, advanced analytics, and machine learning initiatives.
- Knowledge of SQL and/or Python.
- LeanIX, ARIS, or other Enterprise Architecture tooling.
- Geospatial data and digital twin experience.
- Agile or hybrid delivery experience.
