What you’ll do
Key Focus Areas
- End-to-end solution and functional design governance across Enterprise IT platforms
- Architecture alignment, design quality assurance and reusable design patterns
- Design support for ERP, CRM, Workflow & Automation, CPQ and platform integrations
- Continuous improvement, simplification and technical debt reduction
- Mentoring designers, analysts and delivery teams on design best practices
Responsibilities
- Define and maintain design principles, standards and reusable patterns
- Create and review solution designs, process flows, integration designs, impact assessments and transition documentation
- Translate business requirements into implementable designs in partnership with Product Owners, Demand Management and stakeholders
- Ensure alignment with Enterprise Architecture, security, data and non-functional requirements
- Support testing, release and operations teams to deliver solutions that are testable, supportable and ready for BAU
- Resolve design trade-offs across cost, quality, risk, customer impact and delivery timelines
- Review vendor design outputs and ensure compliance with Vodafone standards
Accountabilities
- Own end-to-end design quality from demand shaping through operational handover
- Ensure solutions deliver business outcomes and support customer journeys
- Address performance, reliability, security, scalability and resilience requirements
- Promote software engineering, DevSecOps and design governance best practices
- Drive simplification, reuse and continuous improvement across platforms and integrations
- Enable Agile delivery through clear, prioritised and implementable designs

- Enterprise Architects, Solution Architects, Security and Domain Architects
- IoT Technology leadership, Vodafone Markets and senior IoT stakeholders
- Product Owners, Demand Management, Business and Operations teams
- Testing, Release Management, Deployment and DevOps teams
- Customer Support, IT Operations, vendors and delivery partners

- Protect customer data through secure-by-design principles
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong understanding of Enterprise IT platforms, CRM, ERP, workflow automation, integrations and data flows
- Experience with Agile, DevSecOps and design governance practices
- Strong stakeholder management, communication and influencing skills
- Ability to translate complexity and ambiguity into clear design direction
- Experience with impact assessment, transition to support and supplier management

- Delivery Enablement: reduced ambiguity and rework for delivery teams
- Stakeholder Management: alignment across business, architecture and delivery teams

Key Decision Ownership
- Define and own design vision, principles and standards for IoT Enterprise IT platforms
- Lead solution and functional design across CRM, ERP, Workflow & Automation, CPQ and integrations
- Govern and approve design artefacts
- Resolve design trade-offs across value, cost, quality, risk and timelines
- Drive simplification, reuse and platform evolution
Who you are
Core competencies, knowledge and experience :
- End-to-end thinker, able to translate business outcomes into pragmatic, scalable and supportable solution designs
- Strong design governance, documentation and quality assurance discipline
- Excellent communication skills; able to simplify complex technical choices for senior stakeholders
- Proven experience designing complex, real-time, highly transactional and distributed enterprise systems
- Experience working in multi-tier, multi-vendor delivery structures and influencing matrix teams without direct authority
Must have technical / professional qualifications:
- Multi-year experience in Enterprise IT, BSS, CRM, ERP and / or integration-heavy platforms
- Multi-year experience in solution design, functional design, systems analysis or architecture-aligned delivery roles
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycle, Agile delivery, DevSecOps and transition-to-support practices
- Proven ability to make clear design decisions under pressure during incidents, releases or complex delivery milestones
- Advanced problem-solving skills and ability to structure design options, impacts and recommendations
