IN SHORT

The Enterprise & Operational Risk Analyst plays a key role in supporting the identification, assessment, monitoring, and reporting of operational and enterprise risks across SEFE’s trading activities. Working closely with Front Office, Middle Office, Operations, and Corporate Functions, the role helps strengthen and enhance the effectiveness of the company’s risk and control framework. By providing insightful risk analysis, facilitating risk management processes, and promoting a strong risk culture, the analyst contributes to safeguarding the organisation’s operations and supporting informed business decision-making.

What Will You Do

  • Manage the operational incident reporting process, performing root cause analysis, tracking remediation actions and identifying recurring themes and control weaknesses.
  • Facilitate Risk and Control Self-Assessments (RCSAs) across trading and support functions and assess the effectiveness of key controls.
  • Produce and enhance operational and enterprise risk reports, Key Risk Indicators (KRIs), dashboards and committee materials for senior management.
  • Maintain risk registers and support governance forums through preparation of risk analysis, reporting and action tracking.
  • Coordinate Operational Readiness (OPREAD) assessments for new products, markets and business initiatives, ensuring operational risks are identified and mitigated.
  • Support business continuity and crisis management exercises, documenting lessons learned and tracking improvement actions.
  • Identify opportunities to strengthen processes and controls across the end-to-end trading lifecycle and work with stakeholders to implement pragmatic solutions.
  • Analyse operational risk events, near misses, trends and emerging risks to provide actionable insight and recommendations.
  • The role holder may also be required to carry out any other duties within the scope and purpose of this role as requested by their line manager and in line with business needs.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
