The Role

As the Epicor Systems Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management, development and continuous improvement of the company's IT systems and Epicor ERP environment.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Taking full ownership of the company's IT infrastructure and business systems.
  • Acting as the primary point of contact for all IT-related matters across the business.
  • Managing the relationship with the external Managed Service Provider, ensuring service levels are maintained and projects are delivered effectively.
  • Leading the ongoing administration, maintenance and optimisation of the Epicor Kinetic ERP system.
  • Supporting users across the business with Epicor functionality, troubleshooting and process improvements.
  • Planning and managing the IT budget, including forecasting expenditure and identifying future investment requirements.
  • Managing supplier relationships, negotiating software and hardware renewals, approving invoices and ensuring value for money.
  • Overseeing software licensing and ensuring compliance across the organisation.
  • Advising the business on cyber security best practices, GDPR compliance and IT governance.
  • Coordinating user training and security awareness programmes.
  • Identifying opportunities to improve business processes through technology and automation.
  • Maintaining documentation for IT systems, policies and procedures.

This position will have a strong focus on the ongoing development of the company's Epicor environment. Key projects include:

  • Leading the upgrade from the current on-premise version to Epicor Kinetic 2025.2.
  • Supporting the migration from Classic screens to the modern Kinetic interface.
  • Working with stakeholders to improve existing Epicor processes and workflows.
  • Planning the long-term ERP roadmap, including future migration to Epicor Cloud.
  • Liaising with Epicor partners and third-party consultants where required.
  • Ensuring system stability, performance and user adoption across the business.
