About the Opportunity

We are supporting the launch of a new EMEA entity for a global financial services organisation and are seeking XP'd Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) Subject Matter Experts to help establish and strengthen the firm's risk management capabilities.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing organisation at a pivotal stage of its development. As part of a newly formed team, you will play a key role in shaping risk frameworks, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting strategic decision-making across the business.

Given the evolving regulatory landscape across Europe and globally, we are particularly interested in individuals with a broad and adaptable risk management bkgrnd who can navigate changing requirements and contribute across multiple risk disciplines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the design, implementation, and enhancement of Enterprise Risk Management frameworks.
  • Identify, assess, monitor, and report key risks across the organisation.
  • Partner with business leaders and control functions to strengthen risk governance and oversight.
  • Contribute to risk appetite development, risk assessments, and enterprise-wide risk reporting.
  • Evaluate emerging regulatory requirements and assess their impact on the business.
  • Support regulatory interactions, audits, and internal governance processes.
  • Assist in the development of policies, procedures, and risk management methodologies.
  • Provide subject matter expertise on financial and non-financial risks across the organisation.
  • Participate in strategic initiatives, transformation programmes, and new business activities from a risk perspective.

  • Balance Sheet Risk Management
  • Liquidity Risk
  • Market Risk
  • FRTB (Fundamental Review of the Trading Book)
  • Risk Governance and Risk Framework Development
  • ICAAP / ILAAP
  • Stress Testing and Scenario Analysis
  • Regulatory Risk and Compliance
  • Capital and Prudential Risk
  • Operational Risk
  • Treasury Risk

Regulatory XP

Exposure to European and international regulatory frameworks would be advantageous, including XP with:

  • EU prudential regulations
  • ECB, EBA, PRA, FCA, or equivalent regulatory environments
  • Basel III / Basel IV requirements
  • Regulatory change and implementation programmes

What We're Looking For

  • Strong understanding of enterprise-wide risk management principles.
  • Ability to operate as a generalist across multiple risk domains while providing deep expertise in key areas.
  • XP working within complex and evolving regulatory environments.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to work independently and contribute within a growing organisation.
