Enterprise Risk Manager | 12 Month Contract role | Hybrid working from London

An international organisation is seeking an experienced Enterprise Risk Manager to provide maternity cover and maintain the effectiveness of its Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) framework. The successful candidate will support proactive risk management, informed decision-making, organisational resilience, and long-term value creation across a complex global business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and evolve the organisation's Enterprise Risk Management framework, associated policies, standards, processes, and risk taxonomy.
  • Support the review and calibration of risk appetite statements, tolerance thresholds, Key Risk Indicators (KRIs), early warning indicators, and escalation criteria.
  • Coordinate enterprise-wide risk monitoring activities, mitigation plans, action tracking, and risk reporting.
  • Produce insightful risk analysis and reporting for senior leadership, executive committees, and governance forums.
  • Support the identification and management of principal, material, and emerging risks across the organisation.
  • Lead the preparation of risk-related disclosures and governance reporting requirements for annual reporting and regulatory obligations.
  • Drive the ongoing adoption and optimisation of Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) tools, dashboards, integrations, and risk data quality processes.
  • Manage and support a global network of risk champions, providing guidance, training, toolkits, and best practice materials.
  • Coordinate horizon scanning, scenario planning, stress testing, and resilience assessments.
  • Embed risk management practices into strategic planning, investment decisions, business performance reviews, and major transformation initiatives.

Skills & Experience

  • 7+ years' experience in Enterprise Risk Management, Internal Controls, Assurance, or a related discipline within a complex organisation.
  • Strong understanding of ERM frameworks such as COSO ERM and practical experience with risk appetite, risk tolerance, KRIs, and enterprise risk monitoring.
  • Experience facilitating scenario analysis, stress testing, resilience planning, and tracking the effectiveness of risk mitigation activities.
  • Knowledge of corporate governance requirements and risk reporting obligations within a regulated or large-scale corporate environment.
  • Experience working with risk data, analytics, reporting dashboards, and GRC technologies.
  • Exposure to large-scale transformation, technology, or cross-functional programmes within global or matrixed organisations.
  • Professional qualifications such as IRM, FRM, CRISC, CERA, CFA, CIA, or similar are desirable.
  • Fluent business English; additional languages would be advantageous.
