Referment is partnering with a leading provider of institutional trading technology to recruit an experienced Enterprise Sales Director to drive new business growth across Europe's hedge fund community.
This is an opportunity to represent a highly regarded Order & Execution Management System (OEMS) trusted by sophisticated investment managers, helping some of the world's leading hedge funds transform the way they manage order workflows, execution and trading operations.
Unlike many enterprise software sales roles, you'll be supported by a dedicated pre-sales team that manages product demonstrations, technical deep-dives and proof-of-concepts. That means your focus will be exactly where it should be—identifying opportunities, building relationships, developing new business and winning strategic enterprise clients across Europe's hedge fund market.
The Role
- Develop new business opportunities across hedge funds, macro funds and alternative investment managers throughout Europe.
- Build relationships with CIOs, COOs, Heads of Trading, Portfolio Managers and Trading Technology teams.
- Own the entire commercial sales process from prospecting through to commercial negotiation and contract close.
- Partner with an experienced pre-sales team who will lead product demonstrations and technical evaluations, allowing you to maximise your time in front of prospective clients.
- Represent the business at industry conferences, client meetings and networking events.
- Maintain an in-depth understanding of hedge fund workflows, electronic trading and market structure.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
