Enterprise SDR (Contract)

London preferred, with travel across the UK

Do you get a bit of a buzz at the thought of walking into a room with the people who run brands you already know and love? The retailers you shop with, the names on your high street, the D2C brands filling up your Instagram feed?

That is the job. You will spend your days working out how to get in front of the leaders at some of the biggest retail and D2C names in the UK, and starting conversations that turn into real relationships.

We are looking for someone sharp, well spoken and genuinely into this industry. If you follow what brands are doing, have opinions on the ones getting it right, and want to be the person opening those doors, keep reading.

Who we are

GoKwik is one of the fastest growing eCommerce companies in the world. We are backed by Sequoia and Matrix Partners, valued at $450M, and already a dominant force across Asia, the biggest WhatsApp market on the planet.

Now we are bringing five years of that experience to the UK. We help retailers and agencies move past standard SMS and email and build genuine, high value relationships with their customers over WhatsApp, all focused on retention and customer lifetime value.

The UK is a fresh market for us, which is the exciting part. You would be shaping it, not inheriting it.

The role

This is our first Enterprise SDR hire in the UK, joining a small team of two SMB SDRs. You would work closely, one to one, with our Enterprise Account Executives on a defined list of major brands. You pick the accounts, you research them properly, and you open the conversations with the people who matter.

Nobody is going to hand you a finished playbook. You will help write it, with a senior team coaching you the whole way through. Expect around six days a month on the road for brand meetings, partner events and team offsites.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

What you would actually be doing

  • Building a list of £10M plus UK retail and D2C brands you want to go after, and making the case for why
  • Researching them properly, so when you reach out it lands
  • Writing your own outreach. Emails, the odd Loom, thoughtful LinkedIn messages. Real ones, not a sequence someone else built
  • Getting in front of Director, VP and C-level decision makers, and holding your own in those conversations
  • Booking four discovery meetings a month with brands that fit, and mapping three to five key people per account in our CRM

We care about the quality and depth of what you build, not raw volume.

Who we are looking for

You do not need a long CV. You do need to be hungry, curious and brilliant in writing, because most of your first impressions will be made on the page.

We would love to see:

  • A real interest in retail, ecommerce and the brands shaping it. This should feel like your world, or a world you badly want into
  • Confidence talking to people far more senior than you, without losing your nerve or your personality
  • Strong, natural writing. We welcome creativity. Show us some
  • Self direction. New market, unfinished playbook. You need to enjoy that, not just tolerate it

Nice to have, but not dealbreakers:

  • Some B2B sales experience, whether that is a placement, an internship or a first year in an SDR or BDR seat
  • Familiarity with ecommerce, retail or D2C brands
  • Any exposure to Shopify, Klaviyo, Cognism, LinkedIn Sales Navigator or HubSpot

If you have the instinct and the drive but not the tick list, tell us anyway.

How we help you win

We are not going to drop you in and hope. You get:

  • High intent data: tools like Cognism, LinkedIn Sales Navigator and HubSpot to spot which £10M plus brands are actively looking for what we do
  • 1:1 AE alignment: weekly strategy sessions with your Account Executive to build account plans and sharpen your messaging together
  • Content support: case studies, pitch decks and collateral built for large brands
  • Commission: higher payouts on qualified Enterprise accounts, on top of an SMB structure

Your first 90 days

  • Month 1: learn the product, the UK brands we are chasing and the WhatsApp retention story. Shadow live calls. Build your first account list with your AE. One to two sourced meetings
  • Month 2: run your own outreach across a full list of 20 to 25 accounts. Three sourced meetings
  • Month 3: full stride. Four sourced and completed meetings a month

Where this goes

We are building the UK team from the ground up, and this is the first Enterprise SDR seat in it. The path from here is progression to a Junior AE role. As the market grows, this is also the seat that shapes how we hire and onboard everyone who comes after you.

How the process works

  • Thirty minutes with one of our Enterprise Account Executives. A proper conversation about your experience, your goals and why GoKwik
  • A practical exercise. Pick one brand you would love to work with, research it, and bring us the outreach you would send. We will go through it together
  • A final conversation with Mike Gartland, our UK Sales Director

If reading this made you think of three brands you would go after first, we want to hear from you.
