Enterprise Solution Lead/Architect
Location: UK wide and travel to our London office once a week so ideally candidates who are located that can travel to London within 2 hours.

As an Enterprise Solution Lead, you’ll work with senior clients and CGI teams to shape major transformation programmes, develop high-value solutions and provide the architectural leadership that turns strategy into successful delivery. Your future duties and responsibilities
In this role, you will provide strategic solution and architecture leadership across CGI’s Banking & Financial Services business, working with sector leaders, account teams and clients to identify opportunities and turn business challenges into compelling transformation strategies. You will take ownership of shaping large-scale programmes, target architectures, technology roadmaps and business cases, bringing creative thinking to solutions that balance client outcomes, scalability and commercial viability.

You will also help build and strengthen our Solution Architecture capability, developing standards, reusable assets and communities of practice while mentoring architecture talent. Supported by CGI’s wider community of industry and technology experts, you will provide architectural leadership across complex programmes, helping delivery teams manage risks and critical decisions while ensuring solutions remain aligned with clients’ strategic objectives.
- Shape & Grow: Identify opportunities and shape strategic technology and transformation initiatives that support growth.
- Advise & Influence: Engage senior client stakeholders to understand business priorities and translate them into effective technology strategies.
- Architect & Innovate: Develop target architectures, transformation roadmaps and solutions for complex Banking & Financial Services challenges.
- Lead & Deliver: Provide architecture leadership across major programmes, resolving complex technology challenges and supporting successful delivery.
- Build & Develop: Establish and grow a high-performing Solution Architecture capability, mentoring colleagues and developing emerging talent.
- Standardise & Scale: Define architecture standards, governance approaches and reusable assets that improve consistency and accelerate delivery.
- Solution & Win: Lead solution development for strategic pursuits, bids and proposals, balancing innovation, commercial viability and client outcomes.
Required Qualifications To Be Successful In This Role
You will bring significant experience in enterprise or solution architecture within Banking & Financial Services, combined with the ability to operate confidently across strategy, business development and complex delivery. You should be comfortable engaging senior stakeholders, shaping major transformation initiatives and leading architecture teams or capabilities, with strong commercial awareness and the ability to turn complex requirements into practical, high-value solutions.
- Extensive experience in Enterprise Architecture and/or Solution Architecture, ideally within Banking & Financial Services.
- Strong understanding of banking technology, transformation and modernisation.
- Proven ability to shape large-scale transformation programmes, target architectures and technology roadmaps.
- Experience leading solution development for strategic bids, proposals or major client pursuits.
- Strong senior stakeholder engagement, consulting and client advisory skills.
- Proven ability to build, lead and develop architecture teams and capabilities.
- Experience establishing architecture standards, governance, methods and reusable assets.
- Strong commercial awareness with the ability to balance technology decisions, delivery considerations and business outcomes.
- Ability to provide leadership across complex programmes and resolve significant architecture and technology challenges.
