Team - Enterprise R&D
Working Pattern - Hybrid - 2 days per week in the Vitality London Office. Full time, 37.5 hours per week.

What this role is all about:
Global Enterprise brings together R&D, experience design, and technology delivery into an integrated structure that is mirrored across markets and governed to a consistent global standard. This enables faster and more effective advancement and deployment of the intellectual property underpinning Vitality’s Shared-Value Insurance proposition.
The Strategic Projects Analyst sits within the Enterprise Strategic Support Office, supporting the Enterprise Executive to deliver against their strategic objectives in a highly ambiguous and fast-paced environment, while gaining meaningful exposure to senior leadership. The role operates across tactical, strategic and operational levels, often overseeing initiatives that do not neatly fit within the organisational chart or fall between departments or leaders’ areas of responsibility.
Key Actions
Strategic Initiatives and Insights
- Identify and execute strategic projects such as finding innovative ways to apply AI to improve Enterprise ways of working
- Perform analytical tasks and present findings to drive informed strategic decision making
- Attend strategic meetings and participate in discussions to support executive level decision making
- Support appropriate financial activities, including adhoc analysis and supporting the annual budget cycle process
Communication and Presentations
- Create compelling strategic narratives by translating technical workings of the Enterprise functions to share with key stakeholders and Executive Committees. Develop high-quality presentations and papers to communicate these narratives
- Support the employee communications and engagement strategy for Enterprise including drafting communications, organising events and preparing the Enterprise Executive for employee engagements
- Preparing and coordination of boards materials, creating, updating and reviewing dashboards, reviewing regular Enterprise reports

Administration
- Coordinate critical meetings such as Enterprise Executive Forum
- Stakeholder management to follow up and drive actions with members of the forum
What do you need to thrive?
- Experience in Insurance or Financial Services
- Qualified or part-qualified actuary with strong progress through actuarial exams
- AI-fluent, with experience applying generative AI to solve practical business problems and deliver measurable value
- Advanced SQL skills and strong proficiency in Python or R, with experience working with large and complex datasets
- Strong drive to exceed expectations
- Exceptional academic performance in an analytical or numerical degree
- Demonstrated business and/ or technical experience with a proven track record of innovation, entrepreneurship, delivery and performance, with the ability to translate strategic intent into tangible deliverables within quick turnaround time
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving and research skills. Comfortable tackling complex challenges
- Sophisticated written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to develop high-quality materials for executive levels internal and external audiences
- Ability to handle change and navigate ambiguity
- Strong organisational and administrative skills
- High attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
- Complete alignment to Vitality values and core purpose
- Reliability, accountability and strong ownership of tasks
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel & Powerpoint in particular)
- Creative thinking and proven track record of the ability to operationalise innovation
