Organization The Library, University of Salford
The Entrepreneurship Assistant provides adaptable, efficient administrative support to The Launch Business Incubator. You'll work closely with the Incubation Manager, our Enterprise Consultant and Advisor, key stakeholders across The Library and in schools as well as external organisations, operating effectively in a busy, fast‑paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- To provide administrative support to the Launch and wider Enterprise and Careers team, supporting the frontline professional service.
- Respond promptly to student and stakeholder enquiries via various channels including telephone, email, social media and university systems.
- Setting up bookable events on our Advantage system, scheduling workshops, 1:1 mentoring, pitching panels and inviting external stakeholders.
- Creating, editing and managing content, membership and online events for our Launch Digital Programme on Microsoft Teams.
- Collection, storage and analysis of data from university systems, setting up events, inviting attendees, creating presentations, promotional displays and preparing appropriate materials

Since opening in 2018, Launch has supported over 300 students and alumni to start their own business and awarded over £300k in funding. We are innovative, open, collaborative, and people centred. Across our teams, we manage study spaces and technology, provide access to print and online resources for learning and research, and develop students’ learning and employability through the delivery of an open, inclusive and future facing support provision.
