We are looking for an organised and motivated Entry Level Credit Controller to join a busy, friendly and supportive finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start or develop their career within credit control and finance, with full training and ongoing support provided.

You will work closely with the wider Credit Control team, supporting the day-to-day management of the sales ledger and helping to ensure customer accounts remain accurate and payments are received on time.

The Role

  • Contact customers by telephone and email regarding outstanding invoices and payments.
  • Assist with the professional and friendly collection of overdue debts.
  • Maintain accurate customer account records and update the finance system.
  • Investigate and help resolve invoice and payment queries.
  • Monitor outstanding invoices and highlight overdue accounts.
  • Manage shared finance inboxes and complete general credit control administration.
  • Build positive working relationships with customers and internal teams.
  • Support the Credit Control team with reporting and wider finance administration.
  • Escalate complex queries or potential issues to experienced members of the team.
  • Contribute to a positive, collaborative and customer-focused finance environment.

We are looking for someone who is:

  • You must have some knowledge and experience within a finance based role.
  • Confident communicating with customers by telephone and email.
  • Comfortable working with numbers and financial information.
  • Able to prioritise their workload and meet deadlines.
  • Confident using Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Professional, approachable and able to build positive relationships.
  • A strong team player with a positive attitude.
  • Keen to learn, develop and build a long-term career within finance and credit control.
