Role Description

The Entry-Level ESL Online Tutor (Ref:EDU9/26) is a full-time remote role focused on teaching English to learners of various ages and proficiency levels through online platforms. Day-to-day tasks include:

  • Delivering structured lessons
  • Explaining grammar and vocabulary
  • Guiding learners through speaking, listening, reading, and writing activities

The tutor will:

  • Prepare lesson materials
  • Adapt content to learner needs
  • Use interactive tools to maintain engagement in virtual classrooms

Additional responsibilities involve:

  • Monitoring learner progress
  • Providing constructive feedback
  • Maintaining accurate records of attendance and performance

  • Communicating professionally with learners and, where applicable, caregivers
  • Participating in training or development sessions offered by eTEFL Training & Recruitment

Qualifications

  • Reliable internet connection, suitable laptop or desktop computer, and familiarity with video conferencing tools
  • Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and adhere to scheduled class times
  • Previous experience working with learners from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds is an advantage but not required
