Role Description

The Entry-Level ESOL Online Tutor (Ref: EDU16/26) will deliver live, online English lessons to learners of varying ages and proficiency levels, following provided curricula and lesson plans. Day-to-day responsibilities include:

  • Preparing engaging lesson materials
  • Conducting interactive classes via video platforms
  • Assessing learner progress
  • Providing constructive feedback

The tutor will maintain accurate records of attendance and performance, communicate with learners and, where applicable, their guardians, and participate in periodic training or mentoring sessions. This is a full-time remote role, requiring consistent availability across agreed teaching schedules and a reliable internet connection.

Qualifications

  • Basic knowledge of ESOL assessment practices and the ability to adapt teaching strategies to diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
  • Strong communication, time management, and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently in a remote environment.
  • Access to a quiet workspace, a reliable high-speed internet connection, and appropriate hardware (computer, headset, webcam).
