PE Global is currently recruiting for an Entry Level Food Lab Assistant for a leading multi-national FMCG client based in Wokingham.

This is a contract role until the end of 2026. Pay rate is £13.12ph PAYE working 36 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9-5pm, with a 45 min break.

Duties of the role/Responsibilities

  • Prepare all the samples for the food sciences lab
  • Handle all scientific administrative tasks including lab administration, housekeeping activities and working in accordance with laboratory-set quality standards
  • Liaise with clients, ensuring high-quality customer service by ensuring work is done on time, that the analytical data generated is reliable, and that the results are accurate and provided in a timely manner
  • Assist with routine checks/calibrations and control documentation to ensure that only the most current versions are supplied to analysts
  • Work at the highest standards of safety and quality, maintaining a clean, tidy, and safe working environment and completing assigned quality actions in a timely manner

Education/Experience

  • A relevant scientific discipline (A levels only, BSc or MSc not required for this position)
  • Competency in the use of generic and specific software packages required for the role, including MS Office applications
  • Basic lab equipment, preferably with work experience in a scientific environment
  • Attention to detail, following written instructions, and working on multiple activities concurrently
  • Accountability, honesty, hardworking, flexibility, adaptability, and working efficiently on a team
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
