About the Role
Sage is hiring for an entry-level management route for someone who wants to learn how an in-person customer acquisition team is organized, measured, and supported. The role begins with practical campaign work because future managers need to understand the customer conversation, the standards expected on site, and the numbers behind a productive day.
You will work alongside an experienced team leader and campaign manager. Early responsibility focuses on representing a client campaign accurately, speaking with customers, recording outcomes, and learning the daily operating rhythm. As your judgement and consistency develop, you will begin supporting team briefings, coaching newer colleagues, and reviewing performance information. This is a training role, not an immediate people management appointment.
What You Will Do
- Learn the campaign brief, customer profile, offer, and compliance requirements before working independently.
- Represent assigned campaigns in person across Coventry and nearby scheduled locations.
- Hold clear customer conversations, identify relevant needs, and explain the service accurately.
- Record customer outcomes and maintain reliable daily activity information.
- Take part in morning planning, end-of-day reviews, and practical coaching sessions.
- Use feedback and performance data to improve conversation quality and conversion.
- Support new starters with campaign knowledge and working standards once you are fully competent.
- Shadow team planning, territory allocation, and performance reviews as part of the management development route.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
