Job Opportunity: Entry Level Quantity Surveyor

Our client, a successful chartered surveyors based in Leeds City Centre who specialise in the construction industry in both the private and public sectors are looking for a Entry Level Quantity Surveyor to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is looking to start their career in quantity surveying with a company that offers structured training, professional support, and exposure to a wide variety of projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation of cost estimates, budgets, and tender documents.
  • Support all internal team members.
  • Support the measurement and valuation of works in progress.
  • Help in managing project costs to ensure they remain within budget.
  • Prepare interim and final valuations, variations, and cost reports.
  • Liaise with clients, contractors, and other project stakeholders.
  • Gain experience with contract administration and procurement.
  • Contribute to risk management and value engineering activities.

Requirements:

  • A degree in Quantity Surveying or a related construction discipline.
  • Prior experience in an office environment within the property sector (desirable).
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and under your own initiative.
  • A keen interest in the built environment and commitment to a career in quantity surveying.
