The role is focused on the “maker” element of the processes, including gathering and validating information, maintaining records, preparing reporting for review, and following established procedures to help ensure a high level of service delivery and alignment with regulatory requirements.
The role will be based in the London office. Ideal candidates will be ambitious professionals who are seeking to build their careers in a dynamic and fast-growing environment.
What are the minimum requirements you need for the role?
- University degree in business/finance/accounting or similar.
- Previous experience/internship within financial services, fund administration, transfer agency, asset management or a related environment desirable.
- Experience dealing directly with retail clients/investors, beneficiaries, advisers, solicitors, or other customer-facing stakeholders.
- Basic understanding of financial services operational processes and controls.
- Strong written communication skills with an ability to explain operational matters clearly and professionally.
- Ability to manage sensitive client matters with professionalism and empathy.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team and manage multiple priorities.
- An interest in UK authorised funds, operations oversight and FCA regulatory requirements.
- Exposure to Transfer Agency or Fund Administration activities would be advantageous.
- Exposure to CASS or client money processes would be advantageous but is not essential as training will be provided.
What is your role and responsibilities?
- Act as a point of contact for retail investors, beneficiaries, advisers and solicitors, ensuring queries are responded to accurately and within agreed service levels.
- Coordinate with delegated Transfer Agents and Fund Administrators to resolve investor queries and operational issues.
- Support the processing of deceased investor and estate administration cases, ensuring documentation is reviewed and escalated where required.
- Identify and escalate complaints, incidents and vulnerable customer matters in accordance with company procedures.
- Perform day-to-day operational tasks for CGFMUK Funds, ensuring fund reporting is received, checked for completeness, and recorded on a timely basis, with issues escalated as required.
- Assist with the preparation of reporting for internal committees and, where applicable, regulators by compiling data, drafting commentary, and tracking submissions against deadlines.
- Assist in the review of client money reconciliations by obtaining reconciliations from providers, performing completeness checks, and escalating exceptions where breaks are identified.
- Gather and maintain management information (MI) required by the CGFMUK’s Funds Oversight Committee, ensuring data is accurate and auditable.
- Assist with the preparation of CMAR return inputs and supporting evidence for review by senior members of the team.
- Assist with the administration of investor communications, account restrictions, shortfall processes and related operational activities.
- Assist with periodic reviews of CASS resolution packs and Client Money Acknowledgment Letters by collecting updates, checking completeness, and maintaining records for review.
- Support the completion of regulatory returns by preparing data, performing validation checks, and maintaining supporting evidence to enable accurate, on-time submission.
- Provide operational support in relation to existing Sponsor Fund changes by executing process steps, updating records, and liaising with internal teams and outsourced providers.
- Adapt to new tasks and processes requiring support from the team, learning new procedures quickly and performing them consistently to the required standards.
- Escalate issues, incidents, and breaches to the Head of Operations, UK (or delegate) in accordance with the UK Operations Escalation Procedure.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
