PR Assistant Opportunity at Neil Reading PR
This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual who would like to start their career in PR at a top Entertainment agency.
Neil Reading PR is now recruiting a PR Assistant to work on a range of high profile entertainment clients across TV, theatre and comedy.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing full admin support to the Entertainment team, including arranging diary appointments and booking travel
- Collating client coverage
- Pitching to journalists
- Researching new contacts and feature ideas for clients
- Updating internal databases
- Working with clients on social media
- Handling guest lists for events
- Organising press tickets for journalists
- Assisting with press nights and events
- Answering phones and being the first point of contact for the company

It is important for the PR Assistant to build journalist contacts and familiarise themselves with national, regional and online publications, as well as key TV and radio shows.

Skills Required
- A good understanding of public relations with some experience within an agency or in-house
- Familiar with the UK media landscape
- Exceptional communication skills and confident manner
- Excellent writing skills and meticulous attention to detail
- Ability to meet deadlines and prioritise accordingly
- Excellent organisation skills
- Highly innovative and motivated to come-up with new ideas for press releases, stunts and pitches
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
- Flexible, able to work alone or as part of a team
- Proven experience with social media platforms
- Ability to work well under pressure
