Job Description

This hybrid role offers a great balance of home and office working. You’ll join your colleagues in London at least two days a week.

As the UK’s largest independent full fibre network and wholesale platform of choice, we’re busy setting new standards for what digital infrastructure can and should be.

Our network is greener, more reliable and designed for the future. The products we run over it lead the way on speed, value and service - helping businesses to innovate, communities to thrive, and people to live more connected digital lives.

At CityFibre, you’ll be part of something bigger, helping to build a better-connected Britain, together.

Joining us as an Environment and Sustainability Manager

You’ll play a key role in delivering CityFibre’s ESG strategy, helping us achieve our sustainability, decarbonisation and social value ambitions. Working closely with our Head of ESG and teams across the business, you’ll lead sustainability initiatives, own key ESG reporting activities and turn complex sustainability data into meaningful insight. You’ll combine strong technical sustainability knowledge with project management and stakeholder engagement to drive measurable change across CityFibre.

You’ll receive a salary of up to £70,000 DOE, a performance related bonus, and a range of benefits to support you across your financial, physical and mental wellbeing.

This is some of what you can expect to be doing:

  • Leading the delivery of sustainability, decarbonisation and social value initiatives across CityFibre
  • Owning ESG data collation and reporting for senior leadership, investors, shareholders and external reporting requirements
  • Developing and maintaining our sustainability roadmap, ensuring initiatives are prioritised and aligned to our ESG strategy
  • Leading cross-functional sustainability projects and influencing stakeholders across areas including Build, Procurement, People and Marketing
  • Identifying opportunities to reduce carbon emissions and improve our environmental and social impact
  • Supporting our sustainability communications, annual ESG reporting, SBTi commitments and external industry engagement

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
