Health & Safety Manager

£55,000 - £65,000 plus package

Permanent

Surrey/Berkshire based with travel across the region.

An excellent opportunity for an experienced Health and Safety Manager to join a major civil engineering principal contractor to work across multiple projects around the outskirts of London and the Home Counties.

The role will provide Health & Safety leadership across operational and project teams, supporting the delivery of high standards across civil engineering, construction, maintenance and infrastructure activities.

The Role

  • Lead, support and mentor a team of Health & Safety Advisors
  • Drive a positive safety and wellbeing culture
  • Conduct site inspections and supply chain audits
  • Lead and support incident investigations
  • Monitor Health & Safety performance and improvement actions
  • Engage with operational teams and senior stakeholders
  • Support Health & Safety training and communications

We're Looking For

  • 5 years' experience working in Health & Safety
  • Previous experience working in civil engineering, construction or maintenance
  • Strong site-based construction background
  • NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent
  • IOSH membership
  • Experience managing or mentoring Health & Safety Advisors
  • Full UK driving licence
