HSE Manager
Elevation Recruitment Group are delighted to be working with a well-established manufacturing organisation who are looking to appoint an experienced HSE Manager to lead and develop their Health, Safety and Environmental function. This is a great opportunity for a HSE Advisor looking to take the next step to HSE Manager.
This is a key position within the business, offering the opportunity to take ownership of the site's HSE agenda, influence at all levels and make a genuine impact on safety culture, compliance and continuous improvement.
You will be responsible for:
- Maintaining and continually improving HSE management systems, including ISO 45001 and ISO 14001
- Leading the development of a positive and proactive safety culture across the site
- Completing and reviewing risk assessments and advising managers on best practice
- Developing and implementing effective Safe Systems of Work
- Working closely with Engineering to ensure statutory and regulatory requirements are effectively controlled
- Developing and maintaining the site's annual Health & Safety Plan
- Leading behavioural safety and employee engagement initiatives
- Supporting environmental management, sustainability and the wider Group sustainability agenda

We are looking for an experienced Health, Safety or SHE professional who is confident operating within a manufacturing environment and can influence people at all levels of an organisation.

You will ideally have:
- NEBOSH Certificate or equivalent - essential
- Experience within a manufacturing environment
- Strong working knowledge of UK H&S legislation and best practice
- Experience with ISO 45001 and ISO 14001
- Experience completing risk assessments, audits and incident investigations
- Experience developing Safe Systems of Work
- A proactive, hands-on approach with the confidence to challenge and influence
- Good IT skills, particularly Microsoft Office and Excel
- An environmental qualification would be advantageous, although training can be provided
